Bug#201855: /usr/share/doc/xdm: can't tell how to auto login

Package: xdm
Version: 4.2.1-9
Severity: normal
File: /usr/share/doc/xdm

One can't figure out how to avoid having to type ones username and
password each time I power-up my PC. It must not be documented or possible?
