  I have tried to

pbuilder build --basetgz /var/cache/pbuilder/sarge/base.tgz --logfile
/var/cache/pbuilder/sarge/log/pbuilder.rec
/tmp/xfree86/4.2.1/xfree86_4.2.1-6.dsc

  and got:
