Just a little note: I also got bitten by this bug on a Fujitsu E342 laptop with Trident Cyber 9388 chipset. Downgrading to 4.1.0-16 solved the problem. If I can be of any help in further diagnosing the problem, The patch from bug #164446 did not help. -Hein
