Hi. I have done some more checks, and I can reproduce Alexander's bug, as well as what seems to be a related one. With the above environment, run mozilla and xclipboard. Go to http://www.yanex.ru and select some text with numbers and cyrillic characters. Press Ctrl-C and the text gets pasted exactly in xclipboard. If you press Ctrl-V into the search box, the cyrillic characters are gone: Alexander's bug reproduced. If you press the middle button, though, it's pasted correctly. If you then select the text copied in xclipboard, and paste it in the search box in Mozilla with Ctrl-V, same behaviour. If you paste with the middle button, though, it gets pasted, but the cyrillic characters are not there anymore. _Instead, there are some other ones_, as if Mozilla pasted some latin1 characters in the same position. Weird. Tried with Gabber (copying directly from Mozilla), and I could paste the characters correctly with the middle button. Using Ctrl-V ignored the cyrillic characters. Copying from xclipboard ignored the cyrillic characters, both with Ctrl-V and the middle button. Hope that helps track down the bug. -- Esteban Manchado Velázquez <zoso*demiurgo*org> - http://www.demiurgo.org No software patents in Europe! - eurolinux.org - proinnova.hispalinux.es Join Amnesty International - http://www.amnesty.org/actnow
