Bug#86184: i128 driver corrupts all VT's

Hello,

I just wanted to confirm the same behavior with version 4.2.1-6 
of xserver-xfree86 . When switching from graphical console
into the text console, sometimes the text is garbled and looks like 
blocks. Other times, the machine locks up (not just keyboard 
and mouse, I can't even ping it anymore).

I used debconf to configure the server, and then modified the frequencies
of my monitor by hand, but it shouldn't have mattered, should it?

I'd be happy to assist in further diagnostics, if you told me how to :-)
