You may, if you wish, file a bug against xserver-xfree86. If you do so,
please use reportbug or follow the instructions in the XF86Config(7)
manpage.

However, since XFree86 4.3.0 will be packaged for Debian before too
long, there may not be much point in filing this bug.
There is nothing impolite about the word "spurious" as far as I know.

I was unaware of the use of "spurious" to mean "bastard" -- I think that
meaning has fallen almost completely out of use in the past 90 years.
