In that case I suggest trying the "vesa" driver, or upgrading to Debian
"testing", which contains XFree86 4.2.1, which contains support for
several varities of Trio64 chips.

Alternatively, you can continue to use the xserver-s3 or xserver-svga
packages from XFree86 3.3.6 (whichever works better for you), which are
still available for the i386 architecture.
