Keith Packard says the line acceleration ops in the ATI Radeon
*hardware* are broken.  (Though he said there *also* may be bugs in the
ati/radeon driver's XAA layer.)

Either way, you should be able to work around this by turning off XAA
line acceleration options.  See "SCREEN SECTION" in XF86Config-4(5).
