I'm not saying Debian shouldn't fix it. I'm saying I lack the specific knowledge to fix it correctly. I don't know that the suggested fix is correct. I'm not going to apply it until I do know that. Therefore I'm asking for German users, especially ones with a clue about XKB, to help make this determination. -- G.
