I hope this is the right list to post, if not please forgive me.
I am a 16 year computer tech that has been running mostly rh till
last year and swiched to debian.
I have had no problems with xf3, but for the last few weeks i have tried
up-grading to woody with xf4 and i can not get xf4 working right.
The best is i get x up running but the screen looks like small
lines are running thought it and some twisting. I have used all the XF
config packages and did many hours manual editing the config file in
/etc/X11. I have a cirrus GD5434(8) card with 1024k ram. A IBM G50
debian stable is going to woody and i would like to up-grade to it.
I have google this to death, is there any how-to's i might not know
of. Or, How can i 'apt-get dist-upgrade' without any xf4?
