Unable to upgrade to pre3v2

Hi all.

All (or at least, many) of the packages in the pre3v2-series fail to install on
my SID system.

They all fail with errors like this:

I am able to install non-X packages, and I have used the X packages from
Brandens repository for some time with few problems.

How can I troubbleshoot these problems?
