why were the screen saver timeouts changed from minutes to seconds ?

Hello, ...

I just upgraded my box to the 4.1.0-9 packages, and noticed the screen saver
(using dpms) blank the screen quite fast.

I have this in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 :

# Set the basic blanking screen saver timeout.

    Option "blank time" "10" # 10 minutes

# Set the DPMS timeouts. These are set here because they are global
# rather than screen-specific. These settings alone don't enable DPMS.
# It is enabled per-screen (or per-monitor), and even then only when
# the driver supports it.

    Option "standby time" "20"
    Option "suspend time" "30"
    Option "off time" "60"

But apparently now X blanks after 10 seconds, not 10 minutes.

Do someone know if this is a wanted change or a bug, i didn't find any mention
of it in the changelog file from branden, but then maybe i missed it, or if
ithas something to do with the gnome screen saver stuff ?

Friendly,

Sven Luther
