XF 4.1 + G400 32Mb has module version problem?

     I'm having a problem w/ latest sid update to XF 4.1 and even if I
build latest drm source I receive:

(==) MGA(0): Default visual is TrueColor
(EE) MGA(0): [drm] MGADRIScreenInit failed (DRI version = 4.0.0,
expected 3.0.x).  Disabling DRI.
(II) MGA(0): Using 5529 lines for offscreen memory.
(II) MGA(0): Using XFree86 Acceleration Architecture (XAA)  

     Modules fail the same way when built from XFree86 source. I've
looked at mga_drv.c/h and find only 3.0.2 versioning. When mga.o is
insmod'd it reports as version 3.0.2 at console.
    
     Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? System is pure sid
updated 08/03/01. DRM was fine in 4.0.2-3.
