Each time? Only after sleep for a long time?

The awakening process takes a while,
and the machine crashes only if I hit a key during the
awakening process.

When the machine is awake, the pmud is affected
somehow, and gkrellm is dead (a white image took
its place).

This is pmud after wakeup,
when using the broken kernel (2.4.8-pre3-ben0):

--> telnet localhost 879
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
pmud 0.6 11
S {101 3741 3741 0 12548} {101 3397 3397 0 12325}
S {101 3741 3741 0 12548} {101 3397 3397 0 12325}
^]

telnet> c
Connection closed.
-->

This is pmud after wakeup,
when using the good kernel:

--> telnet localhost 879
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
pmud 0.6 11
S {001 3741 3741 0 12536} {001 3293 3397 -1450 11918}
S {001 3741 3741 0 12536} {001 3293 3397 -1494 11911}
^]

telnet> c
Connection closed.
-->

(I am trying to describe what happens, but I can be more
detailed if you guide me.)

Use trackpad notap, perhaps. Should be in pmac-utils.

It is difficult to trigger this command; as windows keep
appearing when moving the cursor.

Wrong memclk or pll setting.

... still lookin for more info on this. I could not find any.

On the modem, I can see the boot info:

tty00 at 0xcd8e4020 (irq = 15) is a Z8530 ESCC (cobalt modem)
tty01 at 0xcd8eb000 (irq = 16) is a Z8530 ESCC (IrDA)

but when I actually use ttyS0 (pppconfig and wvdialconf)
the device is not recognized. Also pppconfig's menue is
completely screwed; what I select is not what I get.
