Re: Debian Trixie and driver nvidia.
Hi,
Your message reads a bit like an attempt at ragebaiting, but being in a
public mailing list the goal is unclear. I am sending this reply in the
off-chance it is legitimate.
First: this is the debian-www mailing list, which relates to the Debian
web pages, not the Debian project as a whole. You might want to express
your concerns on a more appropriate list, like Debian-user [1].
Do read the Code of Conduct, in particular the first line regarding
constructive criticism [2].
Second: Debian is a volunteer-driven distribution. You are welcome to
improve any parts that you might find need improvement, and/or report
any problems you might be having to the relevant maintainers.
Make sure you understand how the Debian release lifecycle works [3].
There's a reason why testing and unstable exist - if some particular
component is important to you, make sure you test it in due time before
a new Stable is released, so any problems can be addressed beforehand.
Third: the proprietary NVIDIA driver is ... a proprietary NVIDIA driver.
Take it up with them, they're the ones building it. Being proprietary
means that it's closed off, and not accepting external contributions.
So, what exactly are you expecting others to do?
You don't even say what your problem is, just a vague indication that
you "can no longer install" it. I can assure you, someone not being able
to install something is not unheard of.
Finally: nobody is forcing you to do anything. That's one of the things
freedom means. For some other things, read the Debian Social Contract [4].
(Of course, I'm talking about Debian's perspective on freedom, you might
choose to follow a different definition)

I'm just a user, with no role within Debian. I'm not speaking on behalf of Debian.
Regards,
Valmiky
