Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Zack suggested filing as a bug in a discussion on
debian-sponsors-discuss. Please see

In summary it seems Eclipse is asking people to donate to the project
during downloads, and that has significantly increased donations. The
thought is that this seems like a great idea that we should also do.

Since more than 10 years the project didn't try to implement this.
I think we will never not ask for a donation during download.
