Who's using Debian
Greetings,
I would like to enlist us as users of Debian GNU/Linux:
Organization: Laboratory GQE-Le Moulon / CNRS / INRAE, Gif-sur-Yvette, France
Organization type: educational/government
Home page: http://moulon.inrae.fr
The laboratory uses Free Software, and Debian GNU/Linux in particular, for all
of its network and data storage operations. Further, a large part of the
laboratory staff/students runs Debian GNU/Linux as its unique computing
platform. The PAPPSO mass specrometry facility's bioinformatics team develops
and runs only Debian-based Free Software. A Debian Developer (Filippo Rusconi)
ensures that the software is correctly packaged and available as official Debian
packages.
We use Debian GNU/Linux as our computing platform because we know it well and
know that it is incredibly configurable and reliable. Further, the fact that
Debian GNU/Linux is the basis of the Ubuntu distribution makes our software
projects widely available with no extra effort.
Sincerely,
Filippo (lopippo)
