This is the kernel version.  It consists of:

* Upstream version (4.9)
* ABI (6)
* Flavour (686-pae)

> What is 4.9.82-1+deb9u2 ?

This is the package version.  It shows that it's version 4.9.82, which
Debian revision 1, aimed at Debian 9 and update 2.
