Bug#779268: www.debian.org: package list does not specify architectures for most packages
Package: www.debian.org
Severity: normal
Hi,
the package list that can be downloaded from here:
https://packages.debian.org/stable/allpackages?format=txt.gz
is supposed to contain packages and their version in stable
distribution.
When there are multiple versions of the same package, but with
different archs., each arch. is listed next to the version.
However, if there is only *one* version, no archs. are listed,
*even* if a subset of them is in stable.
For example, 0ad is such a package - it is listed as
0ad (0~r11863-2) Real-time strategy game of ancient warfare
but it is only built on 5 archs.:
https://packages.qa.debian.org/0/0ad.html
As a result, there is no way of knowing about the archs the
particular package support without fetching data from elsewhere.
I'd expect this file to list *each* supported arch. for *each*
package on the list.
Cheers,
Tomasz
