Hi list, hi Holger,

On the 07.09.2014, quang reported in #760734:

Just as the general report that was closed before [1], this just as well
might have been a real bug report. The user had a working system. After
upgrading he did not have a working system wrt. sound.

True, the bugreport is quite clueless (no indication of his hw, what he
tried or didn't try to do etc.), but still, it just as well might be a
bug in the upgrade procedure.

Is it that Debian doesn't want bugreports from nontechnical/clueless users?

Of course, it's also a question of if anybody has the time to hold the
user's hand. But here and also with #760615 the bug was closed even
though someone had picked it up and was - at least initially - ready to
help the user to deliver more useful information. So why not let them?

If nobody picks up the nontechnical user then I'd fully agree to close
the low signal bugreports.

This isn't meant to criticize you. It's meant as an question to
consider: do we want to close bug reports that allthough low still
contain a little bit of signal?

Thanks,
*t
