Re: Outdated index for sun-java6-jre package

Yes, but (for example) http://packages.debian.org/sid/all/sun-java6-jre/download points download to http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/non-free/s/sun-java6/sun-java6-jre_6.25-2_all.deb, that does not exists!
Is this right?
Also, apt-cache search sun-java6-jre returns nothing. I'm using debian sid.
Thanks!

Yes, for unstable/sid.

but sun-java6-jre_6.26-0squeeze1_all.deb is at repository.
Yes, for squeeze/stable.

I bet this is more a question/remark for debian-user mailing list, or you can
check http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-faq/ch-choosing.fr.html which
explains differences between unstable and stable.

$ LANG=C apt-cache policy sun-java6-jre
sun-java6-jre:
   Installed: (none)
   Candidate: 6.26-0squeeze1
   Version table:
      6.26-0squeeze1 0
         500 http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ squeeze/non-free amd64 Packages

http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=sun-java6-jre
squeeze (stable) (java): Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 (architecture independent files) [non-free]
6.26-0squeeze1: all
