I recently put together a partial timeline of the Debian project using the
SIMILE DHTML timeline component. I'm currently hosting the timeline on my
Alioth webspace[0].
This is definately work in progress, but it would be nice if it was
integrated with debian.org.
Technology-wise, the timeline is entirely static content and requires a
tiny amount of pre-processing. Showstoppers might be its reliance on
Javascript and the size of the libraries. I'm certain that gettext could
be integrated, however. The full source can be found in Git[1], if you
want to run a local copy.
Any thoughts/objections/ideas?
