Package: r-base
Version: 2.0.0-3
Severity: minor
In the Danish translation of the description of the r-base package one
finds:
"R er udviklet som et rigtigt computersprog med løkkestrukturer"
where I would interprete (disclaimer: I'm Norwegian) "løkke" as
"loop", normally what you associate with for and while structures.
A good R programmer will rarely if ever use for and while loops, and
this is emphasized by the documentation. So, a user who comes to R
presenting a problem including loops would be told to RTFM, and so, it
may be worth using a different word. The English original uses
"control-flow constructions", which is accurate, and perhaps
"kontrollflytkonstruksjoner" would be an appropriate translation?
Since I'm not Danish, there may be nuanses that are wrong in that
word, so please consult the Danish translator before making any
changes.
