Package: www.debian.org
Severity: wishlist

It would be mighty handy to be ably to visit PDO/cont:/etc/pinforc to
find out what package contains /etc/pinforc, without having to mess
around with apt-file, and updating the Contents file. This would make
searching with a web browser one step more direct; presently I use
this alias for quick searching:

    lynx -dump
    "http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_contents.pl?word=$1&searchmode=searchword&case=insensitive&version=unstable&arch=i386"; |
    sed -nre '/^FILE/,/The used/p'

You can use http://packages.debian.org/file:<name> as a shortcut
for the default choices for contents search on
http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages
