Why was it needed to _add_ a trailing space? Usually people remove
trailing spaces every now and then, which is at least partly useful to
reduce the size of the files -- but what sense does it make to *add*
trailing spaces?

Please don't do that, it doesn't help the translators to spot the real
differences in the files, they might get confused and a bit annoyed,
too.
