Debian trademark
Debian is a trademark but many people are not aware of this. In fact,
there has been some confusion about this recently. At the moment, the
footer of our web pages display a Copyright statement. I wanted to
ask if you could also add a short statement saying that Debian is a
trademark. SPI's trademark lawyer has advised me that giving more
prominence to the trademark is very important. Something like:
"Debian is a registered trademark of Software in the Public Interest"
would be great. We have formed a trademark committee and once they
will publish a trademark policy, we can link to it. For now, it would
be great if you could add this little statement to make the fact more
prominent that Debian is in fact a trademark.
