So, quite some time has passed since then. The content is still flawed
and noone came up with a good replacement. I personally think that it
will never happen, not even anytime soon.

So we still have the problem defining multiple <a name="foo"> tags in
that page. My original request still holds: Either pretty please apply
the patch or come up with something that will solve the problem within
the name tag. If you long for the later please keep in mind that it
should be easily to remember for sometimes people just construct that
part out of their mind.

For the later, I suggested even more back in time the login name but
someone turned that idea down for "people don't remember it". I like to
differ, I can come up for quite some people easier with the login name
than the last name. But it still might hold true. About non-developer
maintainers a common prefix could be used (like "nm-") or such. Just an
idea....

 Have fun,
Alfie
