X-Mailer: bug 3.3.10.1

Package: lists.debian.org
Version: 20020508
Severity: wishlist

The instructions on http://www.debian.org/Bugs/ should mention
that an unsubscription request should be sent from the address
that is subscribed, or, if that is not possible, the Subject: header
should be: "unsubscribe subscribed-address@subscribed-domain".

Perhaps this information should also be included in the
information that is sent when a subscription is confirmed.

Almost every day someone complains on deb-user that
unsubscription doesn't work. I suspect the problem is often sending
unsubscription requests from an address other than the one that is
subscribed.
