The link is called "a > list of the major known problems" on the english page, I can't believe > that either you or other people weren't able to follow that link... That is a psychological problem. If a user sees the "general information" on http://www.debian.org/releases/woody/, he is not very interessted in reading _general_ stuff when he has a _specific_ problem. So everything after 2-3 sentenses is lost for his attention. Other distributors place such things like updates [*] in the Updates or Support section, and that is where the user is used to look for help. Not on the page containing general info, especially when the problem is limited to one certain hardware part. [*] think also of modutils, people would bug us more and more when they cannot use kernels >>2.4.18 on Woody. > The only thing I can think of to help people to find it is adding a TOC > at the errata page to be able to see it right at the top of the page > what things are on the errata page... Yes, a toc on top of the errata page would not hurt, so you can see your buzzword immediately and access that part quickly. Also placing a symlink to the errata page somewhere in the Support pages and in the first sentenses of Release-Information would not hurt. Gruss/Regards, Eduard. -- Plug-and-Play is really nice, unfortunately it only works 50% of the time. To be specific the "Plug" almost always works. --unknown source
