er, i guess that was a little cryptic,

added a new section.

<P>It is <B>essential</B> that you use --check-sigs for verifying
signatures on keys of applicants, and <B>not</B> --list-sigs, as
this does
not validate the signatures.
<P>Also remember that it is always better to refer to the
fingerprint of a key
rather than the shortened key ID, the probability of a collision is
significantly less due to the larger namespace.
