Package: www.debian.org
Version: 20001231
Severity: normal

The http://www.debian.org/mirror/* pages needs to be updated,

1.) To reflect the recent package pools changes. Perhaps these pages can also be the home for Joey Hess's partial mirroring script available currently at,

http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-0011/msg01827.html

2.) These pages should encourage people to use a caching proxy server instead of setting up their own private mirror. Possibly have instructions on how to configure squid/apt to do so.

I've added the stuff about partial mirrors and didn't do anything about that
second thing. I'm closing the bug; feel free to reopen...
