automatic generation of html's - or not?

Hi,

I have commited links.tags yesterday, in order to fix some problems with the
translation I work on (PT). However, as of today, the site still looks the
same. How often are the HTMLs generated? (or are they manually generated? I
don't suppose that). Do I have to do anything more than work on WML and commit?
