	Something like 
	
WMLFILES := $(wildcard *.wml)
HTMLFILES := $(WMLFILES:.wml=.html)

all: $(HTMLFILES)

	perhaps?
	
	(I recently implemented a big CVS'ed site,
	it has one checked-out copy of the site that is
	updated, and run with makefiles like that..)
