This has been on my TODO list for a while. When I was looking into CN, I
am sure that I checked that this worked.

On the surface it would appear that getting rid of index.html will do the
trick. This has the side-effect of eliminating the backup if no language
can be negotiated. Normally when no language is negotiated, the .html version
is served.

I'll look into this. Please don't let that stop you from looking for a solution
yourself. :)
