Package Cycle - a calendar for women
Hi,
I've packaged Cycle ( http://cycle.sf.net ) for debian
sid.
Cycle is a calendar program for women. Given a cycle
length or statistics for several periods, it can
calculate the days until menstruation, the days of
"safe" sex, the fertile period, and the days to
ovulations, and define the d.o.b. of a child. It
allows the user to write notes and helps to supervise
the reception of hormonal contraceptive tablets.
Cycle is written in Python (also wxPython required)
and distributed under the GNU General Public License.
Cycle needs wxpython 2.3 which is only available in
sid, not in sarge. Anyway if someone wants to try it
in sarge, all you need is to add these sid packages to
your system:
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/python/wxpython2.5.3
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/python/libwxgtk2.5.3-python
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/libs/libwxgtk2.5.3
You'll also need to remove libwxgtk2.4-python if it is
installed.
The program is translated into Spanish, Russian,
German and a couple of other languages. Package seems
to be stable enough now for trying it (some girls from
chicaslinux have already tried it and reported some
bugs which are corrected in current version).
I'd like to get oppinions about the program before
considering it ready for trying to include it into
Debian sid. I'm also waiting for some girls to
translate it into gallaecian, catalan and basque. I'd
like to have some more feedback if you don't mind.

I've already contacted the author and we might have a
version for 2.4 soon so it can go into sarge sometime
