* Package name    : python3-cve-bin-tool

the source should be named python-cve-bin-tool to please follow the usual naming schema of Python packages.

   Version         : 3.4
   Upstream Author : Terri Oda <terri.oda@intel.com>
* URL             : https://github.com/intel/cve-bin-tool
* License         : GPL-3.0
   Programming Lang: Python
   Description : Tool to analyze software for vulnerabilities using
CVE databases

The python3-cve-bin-tool package analyzes software packages for known
vulnerabilities
using various CVE databases and reports in a machine-readable format.
It aims to help
system administrators, developers, and security analysts identify
vulnerabilities
in software binaries quickly and easily.

This ITP is submitted as the first step to package
python3-cve-bin-tool for Debian.

I am adopting this package as there has been no progress on bug
#1034575 for a long time. I will work on updating and maintaining it.

Now we have two ITP bug report about the same source, that's not how it is intended.

You should consider to close this report here and take over the other bug report as the current person who is willing to work on the package. Some information about the state and communication is already recorded in the other report. You can and should append a current status about the packaging and needed packages.
