Description : Netty is a Java NIO client/server framework which enables quick and easy development of network applications such as protocol servers and clients. It greatly simplifies and streamlines network programming such as TCP and UDP socket server.  Debian's version of Netty that it currently has (3.9) is unfortunately hard-coded into the package name, so this is a request for a packaging of the 4.0 branch.

See https://packages.qa.debian.org/n/netty-3.9.html for Netty 3.9

at some point, libnetty lost its hard coded version and 4.x found its
way into debian
