Please ask on the https://lists.debian.org/debian-fonts mailing list to become a fonts team member.
Additionally, please create a Gitlab user on salsa and request to join the team at https://salsa.debian.org/fonts-team.

I am setting you as the owner of the Intent to adopt (ITA) bug. You should have this bug referenced with
"(Closes: #1055744)" in the debian/changelog of your first change set and replace my name/email in debian/control's 
Uploaders field with yours. As long as you are not a team member you should fork the repo at 
https://salsa.debian.org/fonts-team/fonts-montserrat and hand in merge requests that I can merge.
