Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-ai@lists.debian.org * Package name : vitis-ai Version : 3.5 * URL : https://github.com/Xilinx/Vitis-AI/ * License : Apache-2.0 Programming Lang: C++, Python Description : AMD Xilinx tools and libraries for AI inference Vitis AI is a collection of tools and libraries for accelerating AI inference on AMD Xilinx hardware. It provides an optimizer to prune over-parameterized models, quantizers to reduce model precision, a runtime to submit jobs to accelerator hardware, and a "model zoo" that provides metadata describing compatible AI models along with recommended optimization and quantization parameters for acceleration. This package provides tooling used to run AI models on AMD Xilinx hardware, including Versal and Zynq adaptive systems-on-a-chip, Alveo adaptive accelerators for data centres, and Ryzen AI accelerators for personal computers. This package would be maintained by the Debian AI Team.

--- Begin Message ---I did a poor job of searching for the vitis-ai package. It appears that it already exists as src:vart [1]. I noticed this when I went to file an RFP for src:xrt and saw that it already existed [2].

The var and xrt packages have been removed from Testing, so there is some maintenance required. They will probably also need to be updated to be used with the XDNA NPU in Ryzen CPUs. Nevertheless, I'm glad to see that these packages already exist. There is no need for this RFP.Sincerely, Cory Bloor [1]: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/vart [2]: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/xrt
