  PyTurboJPEG is a Python module that provides a streamlined interface to the
  libjpeg-turbo library, facilitating efficient JPEG image decoding and
  encoding. Users can leverage its functionalities for converting JPEG images to
  various formats, scaling images, and handling different compression quality
  levels. Additionally, it supports advanced features such as fast decoding
  options, progressive entropy coding, and lossless cropping. PyTurboJPEG also
  allows direct access to image properties and manipulation of YUV planes, which
  can be vital for high-performance image processing tasks.

This library is a dependancy of Home Assistant, the Python smart home platform.
I plan to maintain it as part of the Home Assistant team.
