default settings for what?

Could you please be a bit more informative what your ITPs and the 
package you want to introduce are intended for?
Your last ITPs report are at a bare minimum with the information about 
the package.

It's not useful if fellow maintainers need to first do some research on 
their own by navigate to the upstream project site to see what the 
software or tool is doing.
We are depend on information for the things we do, so please be smart 
and take some more minutes to write up the ITP. Thanks!
