I see that there is a repo at https://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/saldo. So do you work on it in the Gnome Team instead?

Also it seems, Matthias Geiger has worked on it at https://salsa.debian.org/werdahias/saldo. Maybe you can reuse partsof the debianization.
