I saw you left a ticket on the github repo for estimatr that I used to work
on about debian support.

I had started working on packaging RStudio for debian, but nobody ever
wrote back to my post:

Great you worked on packaging RStudio. It would be really welcome, if
you would move the package development to Debian R pkg team at

   https://salsa.debian.org/r-pkg-team/
It is something I'd like to eventually get into the main debian
repositories, was curious if you have any advice, it's the most confusing
build system I've had to deal with. I should have more time for open source
Q1 next year.

I have moved the rstudio repository on Salsa to R-pkg-team[1] and merged
those parts of your packaging from mentors into this. I've droped the
unused example boilerplates and did some other polishing of your work.

Please create a login at salsa.debian.org and I'll add you to the
r-pkg-team to enable you contributing to this package. Please note:
We do not work with mentors.debian.net for sponsoring inside the team.
You can ping us over the mailing list

    debian-r@lists.debian.org

for any packaging question.

I personally would love to see rstudio packaged and I think the most
promising way is to move the discussion about this to this list.

Kind regards
    Andreas.

I played around a little bit with packaging RStudio about a year ago. If it's
any help, here's a link to my work:
