Description : Python module that checks for package updates

update_checker is a python module that checks for package updates.
Only whitelisted packages can be checked for updates.
Contact update_checker's author for information on adding a package to
the whitelist.

I am packaging this module because it is a dependency of praw, which I
am updating. I will maintain it inside the Python team.

--- Begin Message --- After talking to bluca about praw and update-checker, I've decided to delete my packaging of this module, since it probably shouldn't be in Debian. Its only purpose is to notify users that they are using outdated software, which isn't really something they can fix when the software is packaged. There have been many problems with such notifications in Debian, such as the classic #819703.

Thanks,
