I have prepared a package for 0.10.0 that is pretty much complete (i.e.
including all metadata like debian/copyright, debian/watch etc.) and
functional, including AOT/wasmedgec and libwasmedge_c.
I needed to backport one patch from upstream (75c3890), but more
importantly have some outstanding questions/issues around libwasmedge_c,
that I have filed upstream bugs about (#1677¹, #1688²). Patching the
former is trivial, but would require me to make an ABI promise that
upstream hasn't made, so I consider this a blocker.
I don't know if I have the bandwidth to properly maintain another
package. I'm happy to share my work (e.g. in a Salsa git repo), and
assuming someone else wants to take the primary role of maintainer, I'm
happy to act both as a sponsor, and occasional contributor/Uploader.
Shen-Ta, not sure if you'd be interested in such an arrangement?
Best,
Faidon
