Hi all,

I request help in maintaining package taglib and doing upgrade to new upstream
version (1.12).

Taglib is an essential library to process audio metadata with very high popcon
(> 95900). I initially adopted this package (thanks to the ITS procedure) to
fix the infamous longstanding bug https://bugs.debian.org/915281 .

When upstream released new version 1.12, I realized that I don't have enough
knowledge to review upstream changes, existing packaging instructions and
carry-over patches under debian/ directory. Therefore, I welcome anyone with
knowledge of multimedia to co-maintain this package and/or have it updated in
Debian.

The git packaging repo is placed under multimedia-team namespace (
https://salsa.debian.org/multimedia-team/taglib ). Feel free to let me know if
you need access to it.

Thanks,
Boyuan Yang

Hi,

Since the current condition of package taglib in Debian has considerably
improved, I am closing this RFH report.

Thanks,
Boyuan Yang
