I will do this once the following three things have happened:

- I have uploaded spyder 5.2 to unstable (it's mostly just waiting for
  a couple of packages in the NEW queue to be accepted)
- The notebook plugin has been updated upstream for spyder 5.2
- jupyterlab is packaged (as it appears that spyder-notebook makes use
  of the JavaScript in that package) - see bug#934258
