Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-Cc: pkg-electronics-devel@alioth-lists.debian.net * Package name: binutils-sh-elf Version : 2.35.1 Upstream Author : GNU Project * URL : https://www.gnu.org/software/binutils/ * License : GPL Programming Lang: C Description : cross binary utilities for SuperH bare-metal systems This package would provide GNU Binutils suited for embedded targets, and would be suited for both SH-1 and SH-2 hardware at least [1]. This is needed to build carl9170, the libre wireless firmware for AR9170 devices that's currently in firmware-linux-free. That will require GCC and Newlib as well. I don't have time to commit to this now, but might in the distant future. In that case, I might would package it with the electronics or even the kernel team. If others would help get this package started, I could try maintaining it after it's off the ground. [1] https://gcc.gnu.org/pipermail/gcc-help/2021-January/139838.htmlAttachment: signature.asc
