Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name : git-absorb Version : 0.3.0 Upstream Author : Stephen Jung * URL : https://github.com/tummychow/git-absorb * License : BSD-3 Programming Lang: Rust :( Description : auto fixup a stack of git commits It's a tool that, when run on a git feature branch with a stack of pending git commits and some uncommitted fixes, automatically finds a relevant commit (above a given base, such as master) where the given hunk should be applied to. There's an interactive mode where you get to review the assignment of fixups or fully automated YOLO ("git reflog" is ------> over there). This functionality is something I wish for approximately once per day -- alas, this implementation is written in some ugly heathen language I neither speak nor understand insanities of packaging of. Thus, if I could get a Rust user to do the dirty work... No, I haven't actually tried if git-absorb is as good as it's advertised.
