Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

Package name: widevineplugin-nonfree
URL:          https://tools.google.com/dlpage/widevine
License:      proprietary non-free

The google chrome version 38 now provides libwidevinecdm.so and libwidevinecdmadapter.so which are (pepper?) plugins used to view things like Netflix through their HTML5 player [1]. It may need a package like pepperflashplugin-nonfree which has a script to automatically extract the plugins and installs it to the right place.

Both Firefox and Chromium download the Widevine component on demand now,
so this is not needed anymore. See also #960454.
